All participants start with academic instruction and construction training, building a strong foundation in education, skills, and work readiness. From there, additional career pathways are available as you progress through the program.
Academics
RequiredHigh School Equivalency preparation supported by tutoring, academic coaching, and structured goal planning designed to help participants stay on track and continue making progress. Participants build foundational academic skills, confidence, and readiness for long-term education, training, apprenticeship, and career opportunities.
Construction
RequiredEarn industry-recognized credentials through hands-on construction training, including National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), OSHA 10 Construction, and American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED. Participants build foundational trade skills, safety awareness, tool knowledge, and real-world worksite experience while preparing for long-term careers in the skilled trades and construction industry.
Registered Apprenticeship Pathway
Keep BuildingYouthBuild is a federally recognized pre-apprenticeship program that connects participants to Registered Apprenticeship opportunities through partnerships with local unions, employers, and training sponsors. With career readiness support and guided placement assistance, participants transition from training into long-term skilled trade careers.
Solar PV
Keep BuildingEarn industry-recognized credentials through hands-on solar photovoltaic installation training aligned with the Unirac Master Installer Program (MIP). Training focuses on solar racking systems, installation best practices, safety, and system quality, preparing participants for entry-level solar installation and renewable energy careers.
Welding
Keep BuildingEarn industry-recognized credentials through hands-on welding training aligned with AWS D1.1 structural welding standards. Training includes SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes, along with cutting, blueprint reading, and fabrication skills. Participants build real-world welding ability, safety awareness, and worksite readiness for entry-level welding careers.

Keep BuildingEarn industry-recognized credentials through hands-on CNC machining training focused on precision manufacturing, including setup, operation, and production using mills and lathes. Training leads to NIMS Measurement, Materials, and Safety credentialing and builds industry-standard measurement, inspection, and quality control skills.
