While there is certainly a need for many to attend community colleges, four-year universities, and beyond, there are also great opportunites that take only weeks to complete, and are much more affordable (or tuition-free, in some cases). For example, if you meet the requirements for our Texas Talent Connection grant, you can attend our 10-week HVAC Training Program at NO-COST. The average placement rate for this program in the 2021-2022 Career School year (as of 9/27/22) is $18.89 per hour. According to ZipRecuiter, the average annual salary for a college graduate in Texas is $34,856 per year. That's just $16.75 per hour.

Did I mention that most of our employer partners are encouraging overtime? There is a shortage of skilled candidates to fill these positions, which in-turn is driving the hiring wages up.
